This thread is

Spoke with my UK AD this weekend, since release late September they have only had 3 stainless steel and all white dial. No real idea when they will get black or blue.

The wait for the blue dial continues.

Thats interesting to read.
I would have thought that it would have been the other way round. I would be interested to read your take on the legibility between the two dials?

I wrote about it last year after seeing all three watches side by side at a Rolex event. Bottom line, white to me was the most legible. Although I *really* wanted the blue dial version, I knew that it and the black dialed version were too difficult to read *at a glance*. A friend of mine, who isn't a watch enthusiast, had the same comment.

I didn't pay attention to the TT at the time so I didn't form an opinion but after seeing pictures I believe they are also more legible.

Now, this is subjective. What I consider illegible might be legible to some. Also, maybe my eyesight isn't great compared to others. Even if I'm right, maybe some don't care because they don't mind the extra glance since they like looking at the watch in any case :-) For me, after seeing all of them, there was only one logical option since "at a glance" is important to me.

Cheers

I saw the White dial for the first time the other day.
Previously I had only ever seen the Blue and Black at Basel 2017 release events.
Out of the Blue and Black I would've picked the Blue for the quick glance test of legibility.
After seeing the White, I agree that it surpasses the other two colours and possibly by a good margin.
Very few pictures did the White justice and it looked a little too anaemic to me to either suit my complexion or be the most legible throughout the widest range of day to day settings.

I have a question regarding the luminosity of the watch.
In your opinion.
Is it adequate, or could it be a little better?

It would be great if you could take a night time shot of the lume.
I'm not sure it has ever been done yet

The lume isn't fantastic but it's because of GMT inner dial. The bottom half sticks are shorter because of it and the watch hands aren't fully coated and are open. This allows users to see the inner GMT ring.

Not much Rolex can do other than to somehow make the lume stronger so that the sticks and hands stick out more.

Quick lume shot attached.
