Shipping costs
If I sell my watch at $ 7000 how much will it cost to send it with insurance for that value by Fedex or UPS? And I have PayPal how much it will cost me in commissions. I never made this type of sales so I ask. Thanks friends.

Fedex or UPS will not insure the watch. You will need to get insurance through a different company, such as Parcel Pro. To insure a $7000 watch and ship it domestically via FedEx you are looking at around $60.

This is the most secure way to ship. This is how Rolex USA does it when sending watches to their AD’s. It is much more cost effective as well. Maybe $25 total for a $7000 watch. The alternative is it can be slow to get to your destination and tracking is horrible along the way. If you need overnight shipping, which most buyers on this forum expect once payment is made, then this is not an option.

Shipping by USPS Express 2 Day MA to CA is about $45 without insurance. I'd figure as high as $75. It depends a lot on distance as well.

Registered, Insured is best and safest way, a little on the slow side.
You can ship USPS overnight and insured, very costly. I think that the max is $10K for USPS next day. |

Too bad PayPal and FedEx don't have websites. Then you could find your answers easily.

I thank everyone for the answer to my doubts, even after a lot of researching the pros and cons I came to the conclusion that I will offer my watch for sale to a gray dealer or I will leave it on consignment. Fewer problems and sleep more quiet. Greetings to all.
Thannks again. |
