Yet another BLNR on a 97200 bracelet pic.

I know there are 1,000,000 of them, but now there’s 1,000,001. I just couldn’t get used to the polished center links of the OEM like I thought I would so I found a Sub Glidelock bracelet and snatched it up (wanted to keep my SubC bracelet on my SubC solely). I like this look exponentially more.

Yes, much prefer this look on a sports model and you have the Glidelock to boot. Good job.

This is probably how I would have wanted the BLNR configured by default. Great combination. How much was the bracelet alone?

You can get PCL’s brushed out very cheaply by most professional watchmakers.

I believe that I prefer the brushed look as well, and you also get the benefit of the glidelock system.

I’ve been wearing my BLNR as my daily for over two years and the PCL’s are scratched badly. I picked up a Planet Ocean this week which has a brushed bracelet. This really is how the GMT should have come.

That piece should be shipped with that bracelet, well maybe not with the glidelock since it serves a specific purpose, but at least BCLs and easy link. The look is amazing and stays true to past GMTs.

Yeah, I struggled with the three options: have my PCL’s polished, throw my SubC bracelet on my BLNR, or purchase a Sub 97200 bracelet. I’ll still wear my PCL on occasion and I don’t want to get it polished when I want to. I wear my SubC often and I don’t want to have to switch it out a few times per week. May be easy for some, but not for me. I can still hit a golf ball 300+, throw a baseball within a foot of my target from 100’ away, and hit a 8/10 free throws at 46 years old, but fine motor skills are not my strength so I just ponied up and bought the bracelet.

Purchased for $1950 from a private seller. Not a lot of negotiation leverage as they’re tough to come by, Rolex won’t sell them individually, and they usually sell the day they’re posted.

Man, I agree. It pains me to see that bracelet so beat up and I know that’s exactly how mine would have ended up in 6 months. I don’t get why they put the 97200 on it or give the option of either. IMO, besides the whole scratching issue, the PCL’s don’t dress it up enough to wear it in a situation that the brushed isn’t able to be worn in, but they do dress it up enough that it may appear to be too dressy for super casual (jeans or shorts and a tee).

Yep, definitely the way to go, and that's what I have on mine.

Having the Glidelock is a real advantage as well. I do adjust mine relatively frequently (been having tendonitis issues lately), and its nice to have the ability to do so.

The original PCL bracelet sits in my safe- the stickers haven't even been removed from it.

I love the brushed bracelet on my sub and I’ve tried it on the blnr and it does look pretty good. However, I feel like pcl makes the blnr more special. I’ve grown to love pcl’s.

Which is exactly why I bought the 97200. I get the best of both worlds depending on my mood, and I don’t have to switch out my SubC bracelet. Cheers!

If I were to like PCL's (I don't), I would just get the 97200 bracelet polished. Having the Glidelock makes a big improvement in the watch.

Agreed......I think the BLNR on a 97200 Oyster Glidelock bracelet is the ultimate modern Rolex. Would be my choice!

looks great!

although I'm in the camp of really liking the PCLs on the new GMTiiCs. I think the PCLs help balance how busy the bezel is. I think the GMT is the only one in the sports line that can pull it off.

Sometimes I wonder how hard guys are wearing their PCL watches. Had mine over 3 years now, and granted, its part of a rotation, I let my girl wear it too (she's not soft on it) and the PCLs still look pretty darn good with minor touchups with cape cod (taping off the brushed).

I'm sending my Daytona off to get the PCLs brushed soon.

Is this an easy swap of the bracelet? Everything lines up perfect?

No problems?
