Do all the GMTs have the glide lock bracelet? Or is it a special order? Thanks

No problems whatsoever. I read on a forum somewhere that you have to use the GMT spring bars, but I'm not sure if that's accurate or not. The guy I bought the bracelet from sent two brand new spring bars for the 97200 from the Rolex dealer near his home, but I didn't try them. I know the GMT bars fit perfectly snug because I just pulled them from the case so those are the ones I used. Didn't want to try reinventing the wheel.

No, the GMT's use Easylink, not the Glidelock. Easylink allows the wearer to lengthen the bracelet an extra 5mm. Hard to explain, but they basically fold the bracelet over a half link and then you can pull the bracelet down at the buckle and it lets the extra half link out. The Glidelock is incredible, but Rolex won't sell it separately.

Did this today.

Extremely pleased. And I too love PCLs. Just not on this watch.

Watches are all about personal preferences. I really love both bracelets and really like the PCL on Daytona and BLNR too.

I think your approach to just buying the extra bracelet is a great approach. Much better than permanently modifying the stock bracelet in my opinion.

BLNR looks beautiful either way. Enjoy!

That IS crazy.

Please explain why.

Is it the size of the clasp with the glidelock?

Don't get me wrong, it's an amazing peice of engineering just found it slightly more bulky and once I got it set I didn't ever adjust it so was wasted on me, the easily link on my BLNR is perfect

Well hey, that makes perfect sense.

I tend to adjust my glidelock a lot. The fit on my wrist is something I’m a little finicky on.

But if you are comfortable with just one setting (or two), glidelock really is the best you can ask for.

I was always hot and cold on the BLNR. The bracelet swap really makes a big difference.

Anyone know if the bracelet on the Explorer II would work? It seems like it’s the same as on the GMT except for the PCL “feature.”

I must be doing something wrong.

All my brushed Oyster bracelets and clasps are just as scratched up as my PCL Oyster, and in some cases, even worse.
