5164 vs 5726

My local AD dealer has 5164 and 5627 in strap available
This is going to be my first Patek purchase. I love both of them. This is really a hard decision for me... i need a little help from Patek community to help me decide
5164 is more casual and 5627 is more dressy ....which watch would you pick as your first Patek?? Or should i put myself on wait list for 5167 or 5711??

Thanks in advance

I chose 5726 for my first. I really like both. Can’t go wrong with either.

Both are great. I would say it depends on how you dress and functionality of daily wear. I love the 5726 (the annual calendar is a nice and useful complication) and had that exact watch but I sold it and am looking for the bracelet option.
I wash my hands at work quite often and the bracelet is more practical. I bought a Rubber B for the watch you are looking at, and that worked but it's a pain to change back to the leather if you want to dress it up. Honestly, if the bracelet swap would have been simple I would have kept it.

The 5164 is great also and can be worn daily - great if you travel or want to keep track of another time zone. If not, consider a 5167.

As others have said, either way you are going to get a great watch. I prefer the 5164

Sixty four. That 26 belongs on a bracelet.

That's how I see it too. If a strap it has to be a gold Nautilus.

I've owned both and I would opt for the 5726. The 64 is more useful for traveling for sure. But I personally hated the clasp on the 64 -- it flung open more than once on really hot days, which I find unacceptable. Move the 26 to the "rubber" strap it comes with and you should be happy

64 no question. Then add a nautilus on a bracelet later. 5726 or 5712 as suggested by Stephen above

Personally the 5711 in SS or a 5167 are no where near the top of my list to acquire so i wouldn't even worry about adding yourself to those lists.

I would get a 5726 but on bracelet, had it on strap and it didn’t really do it for me, very nice but something missing

The thickness of both 5164 and 5726 is awesome to me. Love complications and I would lean towards 5726 but on bracelet. Good luck with your decision

I will pick the 5164 as I think the 5726 goes better with bracelet. After that, enjoy your hunt for the Nautilus range.

5164a first, 5711/1A second.

I own both. Purchased 5711 first and a month after went for a 5164 (found a good deal). These watches complement each other well. Though I have to admit that 5164 gets more wrist time. Maybe since I am more concern to scratch 5711.

Has to be the 5164.

The 5726 is probably the last Nautilus that I would want to own - albeit I did say that about the 5712 and then ended up picking one up last year....

5726 but I would put a rubber strap on that, since it is a sports model watch.

I started with the 5164 and then moved to the 5726. Main reason, was I had a few other daily wearers and wanted something a bit more dressy. Both a great options!

Completely agree. A nautilus needs to be on a bracelet, that's why i waited on the 5990 instead of settling for the leather 5726 couple years ago

I'd say 5164a. 5726 is nicer on a bracelet (to me).
