I’m gonna pick mine up from an AD tomorrow. It’s set aside for me, no wait list was involved. I’m wondering if anyone has had success getting a discount in this situation since the Great SS Drought has begun. I’m in the Southwest, USA.

I've gotten the tax in discount. Between 5 and 9.25%.

It’s getting much harder to get any discount from dealers now. It all depends on your relationship with your dealer. With a good relationship I got 15% off

I paid retail. The AD has four stores. I got the only SS Sub they had, a ND, because I walked in the day after they got it. They had gotten one SS Sub date also, it sold before I walked in the door.

SubDate got 9.25%. The Sub I got 7% today driving through on my way to Mardi Gras. Both equivalent to the state taxes of TN and MS.

In Montreal, I get the tax (15%) in discount for the LN date or ND. I get that pretty much for all SS sports models. 20% off my DJ41.

LVc and BLNR I purchased at retail with no discount. And my history goes deep with my AD.

Yup, asked for that amount off and it just took a bit of haggling. Since this was a smaller market AD I think it was easier to pull off.

Last summer, I got my 114060 at list (though in a tax free state), but I was offered a Polar 216570 at 20% off (at a store in an 8% sales tax city). It was my second time buying from the tax free place. I'd never bought from the other place.

Others? Oh they have them and sell them at a discount to boot! No problemo

Sub ND purchased in the U.K. last week. First time dealing with the AD and first Rolex. Paid retail - asked, but no chance of a discount here on that model - waiting lists and too much demand. Did manage to get a gift thrown in though!

I got 11% off an LVc....and didn't ask for a discount. I was ready and happy to purchase at retail, especially considering the trusted sellers are asking 11k plus. I know I got lucky with my purchase but discounts are still possible.
