Toasting my Polar Addition...
I know many folks prefer the 16570, but I've had my eyes on a polar 216570 for a few years now and IMHO, Rolex got everything right with this one. I travel quite a bit, so my GMT LN was getting a lot of wear and I decided I wanted something a bit more casual, but that retained the ability for a dual time zone. After wearing this one all weekend, I believe it may have knocked out the 16600 as my favorite daily "beater."
Anyways, the family is all in bed, so I figured I'd wind down before the start of the week with one of my favorite pours. Have a great week my fellow TRFers! |

Congrats .. Enjoy the watch in great health
the 16570 and 216570 are both great. I would like the 216570 to have the skinny 24hr hand .. Then you get the best of both .. Skinny 24hr hand in the new case and new bracelet .. I know the vintage explorer 2 has the funky small fat orange 24hr hand and can go for thousands of dollars, but I think the long skinny 24hr hand is easier on the eyes

I LOVE my Polar EXII!! The perfect travel/companion/adventurer watch. Mine just came back from a weeklong trip to explore the south (New Orleans, MI, Memphis) and it's the perfect travel companion. It's been underwater, in the air, overseas, inside caves, on boats, etc. I remember I had a special custom high proof Knob Creek that they had custom made for a restaurant I was in Scottsdale, great Bourbon especially paired with the EXPII - Congrats!

Well done sir! I bought mine 12-28-17 and it’s seeing more wrist time then my Sub no date.
Love the 42mm size thinking of buying the black dial edition as well.

I like the explorer 2 .. I heard someone at the AD call it a steel stunner .. I'd really like the new case and bracelet with the skinny long 24hr hand .... I think that would be cool.
I like the polar a lot, but O also like the black, and I think I like black better .. Same with the subs .. I really like blue, but like the black better .. I know I am far away into the minority lol

Great watch
I share a lot of similar sentiments with you about 5/6 digit. The 216570 is a winner
