Trade 5167a for 5712a?

Hi, everyone. I am on the waiting list for 5712 on the second place and I will probably get the piece in summer for the new retail price. It is time for me to leave the deposit for 5712a, should I trade my 5167a for the 5712a?

Keep the 5167 and then pay for the 5712 when the time comes

It is really a big rise of the price.

You’ll want to have both in your collection.

Yup. The 5712/1a is the real McCoy.

What will you choose between 5712/1a and 5711r?

5712/1a is my favorite Nautilus. It was my first Patek and will always have a special place in my heart. That’s what I have now (along with a new 5711/1a blue). I may flip my 5711/1a towards a 5711/1r to make a perfect pairing.

If you can only keep one, then do it.

But, if you can keep both, I think you'll regret giving up the 5167, and it's going to be real annoying trying to reacquire it.

It seems that based on all of these recent messages you guys have written about 5167, 5711 and 5712, Patek is taking supply down. Makes plenty of sense now that SS price level is so high and at the same time price difference to complicated models is narrowing.

+1 these.
i have the 12, looking to add 5167R.
i think they are very different, enough to be complementary... one being SS on full bracelet, other RG on strap.
