There was some issues on TRF in the Buyers/Sellers who's who forum.
Good point. That said, the listing does show a card with both the watch's SN and the AD and purchase date. Again, could be fake, but in the listing, the paperwork matches the actual watch. That's a bit different from shipping the wrong manual, as was alleged in the complaint.

The registration card says George Felt of Pensacola.

Not saying this story isn't real, but by nature I'm a pessimist and have seen some real bizarre threads on this forum in the past few months. I would like to see an image of the OP's watch "papers" a.k.a. warranty card to prove this claim is legit.

It should be noted that the link is undated (unless I am missing something) and listed as sold. It could well be that the buyer was the OP's son before his passing, meaning its feasible she now has the papers and explaining why the name on the warranty card does not match that of her son. Just a thought.

One of the more interesting reads in my short time here, curious how it pans out.

I sent her a PM and said check your thread they may have located your watch, she responded that she wasn’t sure how to find it so I sent her the link. I hope she will respond in the thread

Some of you guys are acting like she owes anyone an explanation. If my son died and someone stole a watch off his dead wrist I wouldn’t waste my time proving anything to anyone who can’t help. Either you know the watch and want more info to help solve this or your wasting the OPs time and efforts by being a second guessing tire kicker.

She may not be very computer savvy and with her grief it may be difficult for her to prove her point here, specially with majority of people questioning her story.

I'm glad you were able to send her the link, I was thinking to do the same but never got a chance. Good work

Holy cow... Some of you guys with these comments...

The original poster said that his/her son died and that someone stole his watch the night of his death. They are offering up the paperwork to the watch for information leading to the person who originally stole it from their deceased child.

Assuming all this is true... How is it not blatantly obvious that so many of these comments lack empathy and are so insensitive?

Seriously- what am I missing? Am i missing something or are you guys just being brutal?

What you're missing is her first post, which mentioned nothing about the death and was vague of her intentions. Also, didn't her son die like two years ago?

"Assuming " is a big word and if this thread is not some sort of troll joke we will find out soon enough. There have been numerous bizarre threads here lately and many of them were just rubbish. I would like to see images of the OPs "certification papers " as proof that this thread is legit. Again, not saying this is not true, but I take these things with a grain of salt until proven otherwise.

I hope this will work out well, but man, this is a strange thread.
I knew a Brandon McGinnis that went by Bear. We were causal friends in a hobby we both enjoyed (Custom Cutlery). I would see him for many years at Blade in Atlanta where our show was held every June. I had heard he passed away a few years ago tragically.

The guys that run in this circle also like high end watches so it wouldnt be out of line that Brandon had a Rolex. I didnt know him that well. I am assuming it was his mother that did this post but cant verify it. It is a bizarre thread to say the least. Especially with one of our Super Sleuths locating the exact serial numbered watch.

If every thing is true I hope she got Police involved and the watch being taken down meaning its in Police hands till this gets resolved. Would be good to hear back from Bears Mom to see if this in fact what happened. I will do a Facebook PM to her to see if this all pans out.

Interesting thread to say the least.

So what if he died two years ago. You can't still grieve and look for answers? What a joke. A whole two years! How generous you are.

The comments in the beginning of this thread look bad, but worse, because two threads were merged providing more info.

Good luck, Mrs. Bear.

Well, if I were her, then I'd go to them with the police with me, assuming they could be bothered to come with me. Certs in hand

Look, I don't mean to be insensitive; I really don't. As others have pointed out, this initial thread was questionable. If all of this is legitimate, I'd go to the police.

Actually the comments until post #27 didn't look bad at all given the wording of the original post.

It looks as though the watch linked earlier is an longer available. As strange as this all is I hope the OP is truthful and was able to get her son's watch back.

Well once again, the sanctimonious are overwhelmed by their empathy and feel the need to shame those of us who exercise a degree of judgment and common sense. Time to unsubscribe. I can't help the mother anyway.

Brandon did not buy the watch new. I think it went through several legit sellers until the night it was stolen. I am NOT trying to cheat or "Bribe" anyone, as someone here posted.

That is what the card I have says. My son did not buy the watch new...I think it had several owners prior to him before it was stolen.
