New 114060 now or wait until Basel?

My salesman at the local AD is my friend and messaged me this morning that he just got in a 114060 ND Sub and he would hold it for me if I wanted it. I would love to grab it even though I bought a new Air King from him 2 weeks ago but I don’t want to miss out on some new amazing piece released at Basel because I just busted my nut on a Sub. Legit dilemma. Haha

i would purchase. even if something interested you from Basel this year, it will be difficult to get and will probably take a very long time.

Get it and just flip if something more interesting is introduced at Basel.

You may want to wait. If something new is announced the 114060 will be old news

1). If there is an upgrade to the model, it will come at a cost. You can lock in the price today, or wait and possibly get a more expensive watch later. I seriousl doubt current buyers will be left out to dry.
2. Do you want this watch and would it preclude you from purchasing something later this year? I kind of like Batman, but if Coke comes out in SS pretty sure I would regret buying Batman as I don’t think I would want both at this point.

I am in your boat. I want a LV, but fear a change to a slightly more desirable upgrade. In the end, I am on lists that I don’t expect to be filled before Baselworld. If I get a call next week, I might roll my dice and take my chances with a watch in hand.

IF...and that's a big IF...some mind-altering watch comes out in March...You'll be lucky to get one by Summer or maybe XMAS for top dollar. And, you could be dead by then.

I want a 116610ln but I’m waiting until Basel. If it was half a year away or something it’s one thing, but t’s only like a month away at this point so I’ll go against the herd and just say I’d wait.

No matter what happens in Basel, which I highly doubt that we will see any SS Subs, the ND Sub is and will remain a fantastic watch. Just buy it, you won't regret it.

I think the odds are against any new Subs this year, even in PM. SS would be less likely still, and a new no-date is a billion-to-one shot.

I didn’t wait myself, I purchased a 114060 in Dec & picked it up at my AD first week of January. Great everyday watch.

Totally agree, IF we see something new in ss sports I guess it would be in the Explorer line.

If something new comes out isn't the last production of the current model always more desirable?
