116655 + BLNR for BLRO

As the title suggests, I've been back and forth on this idea for the better part of the last year or so. The BLNR is more or less a daily for me, the 116655 is great for weekends... they make a pretty good combo.

With the BLRO potentially on the way out, I'm having this internal debate again in my mind. There is no deal in the works, but I think a straight up trade is pretty fair based on what I've seen in the secondary market.

I mentioned BLNR as a daily, but I do rotate frequently during the weeks too, and would like to consolidate my smallish collection to some extent; ideally dropping two sports watches for one and picking up a dress piece.

Thoughts?

Ugh pass. I don’t mind the idea of moving those two along but not for that watch. Prices aren’t moving at all on the rumors.

Seems like your trading about 30k for a 27k piece.

I would do it in a heartbeat and not look back. The BLRO would be a perfect lifetime daily wear. You night even come out slightly ahead on the trade and put a thousand or two in your pocket.

Normally I am in favor of consolidating, but this seems at best a lateral move. Actually, I think it’s kind of a step back. White gold is more expensive, sure, but I don’t think it’s any better than what you have now. Precious metals just add price, in my opinion.

Tough call, I'd stay put as you get a lot for those two.

I wouldn't let them both go. Flip the YM for it and then flip the BLNR for whatever it is you're consolidating to.

Valuewise, it’s not a terrible deal depending on your counterparty. The BLRO is an awesome daily wearer. I’m a PM guy, so I’m biased. Retail on the BLNR is right at $9,000. The 500 is at $13,000 or so. The total is $22,000 MSRP for both no matter how you look at it.

On second thought, it’s a great deal! Do it twice!

retail on the 116655 is 25K, secondary market is 16-20K. BLNR is 9K and 9500-10 on secondary market so the math will be mid to high 20's depending on some variables.

My bad!! I was thinking SS Daytona!!

I’d say if you get $4,000 - $5,000 vs used / like new, it’s a good trade.

I did a similar move for a smurf. Traded a Pelagos and a SD43 plus cash. I don’t regret it one bit. I love having a WG watch that you can wear every day and not feel over dressed. I haven’t taken the thing off since I bought it. Even wear it to work (firefighter)

This.

Since you already have the idea to trade it. I do believe you love BLRO more than the two subconsciously.

nope! for me I like the look of the BLNR even more than the BLRO. The only reason why BLRO is more sexy is because it's white gold.
