When the light hits that AP blue dial just right it looks better than anything else really.

Even if both were for the same price, I would pick the BLNR. I know a lot will disagree but I choose what my eyes and wrist like, not based on price or others’ hype

At the end pick what you like more

AP for me... today I had the chance to try the BLNR (BNIB for €8.2k) and sadly I decided to pass. It seems I like it the most on pic than on my wrist :( My AD said she has 5 pers waiting for her call she didn’t push me to much

Because you have owned the BLNR three times you should try something different. I’d go AP for that reason and because it’s a super cool watch. Plus you don’t see AP’s every day on the streets. If money isn’t the issue try the AP. Good thing is you can flip either of those anytime and not lose out

Of the two I would go with the AP. I’m a sucker for blue, I like the AP dial better!

Thanks so much for all the opinions everyone... it's a tough choice and I'm still going back and forth and back and forth... Will report back when I've made my decisions!

I think Royal Oaks are hideous, so BLNR all the way.

Why did you get rid of your other two BLNRs?

I’ll probably get flamed for this, but I think AP watches look ugly as sin and don’t get the appeal so BLNR for me.

I dislike the looks of the Royal Oaks, so I would definitely go for the BLNR. It's also a lot more robust and I think it will stand the test of time better.

I'm of the camp which tried on the BLNR several times fueled by the trend, cash in hand. But instead walked away with an LN.

Take a poll on the AP forum and compare your results from the answers on this site. FWIW My daily is a BLNR and I think its a great watch.

The AP looks like 1980’s art nouveaux. Literally 80’s fashion art-deco, hahaha. The GMT looks timeless and badass. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder though, you need to go with your gut on this. People in the WIS community get easily swept up in the perceived value of AP because of its higher price, but... Aesthetically, APs fall between amusing and forgettable. One man’s opinion, of course.

If all else equal, assuming the money invested in either watch is the same portion to you and attraction and feeling to both watches are the same, I would see if your daily life and habits would deter you from wearing one or the other.

Only after I got my first AP did I realize that it wasn't fit for my everyday lifestyle and that was a huge turn off. On the bright side, whenever I put it on it brings endless joy

BLNR, it’s tough as nails, I’d have to concentrate very hard to not knock the AP or ding it more than the BLNR.

AP is too small, go with BLNR. but I'd take a blue 15400 over the BLNR

I think you need to come to grips with the fact you need both.

Seriously though, it sounds like there's something that doesn't sit right with the BLNR as this is your third one. I'd think about that a little more.

I'm not the biggest AP fan so I would choose the BLNR. Both are great so no wrong decision here.
