I am down to two.. close enough. I have a total of about 20 watches and the goal is to get to 3 at some point but who knows, I do love my watches. If I ever get to that magic 3, one will probably be a Rolex.

Just my AP.

No desire to add - gave my iwc away to my brother when I got the diver.

Made no sense to me for it sit gathering dust on the shelf unworn 99% of the time.

If I see something else I prefer then I may replace one day, but get no pleasure from an unworn collection of watches.

I find one is not enough as sometimes you need a dressier watch vs casual etc?

I tend to dress casual every day - work or otherwise.

I wear this with a suit also.

Not found a situation yet where it’s felt out of place to be worn.

The waterproofing means it’s also a go anywhere and do anything watch. So as versatile as something like a sub

I’m happy with one. Firstly, I find them all quite similar and secondly I like to have different brands. I currently have one Rolex, 2 seiko, 2 omega and one longines. Nice to have some variety (at least in my eyes)

I have a Rolex Daytona and Omega Seamaster. I would like A TT blue sub at some stage purely becouse I love the look of it and it gives a little more variation. I don't have any intention of going beyond that and I'm perfectly happy with what I have at the moment.

Give me my 18078 as one only. To black tie to jeans and a white tee shirt to the beach and snorkeling does it all with class. Ask Jack and Warren one DD that's all they need and they can afford anything and unlimited collection.

Bought an explorer as my first watch and then a zenith el primero not too long after it. Sold my explorer recently thinking I could live with it as my one watch but then put myself on the list recently for a CHNR. I guess the answer is no, i can't live with just the one

Got my 116610LV and that's it, couldn't be happier since it represents a lot. Aware how lucky I am to already own one, after dreaming of it for 15+ years. Might add some in the future, but no urge for it, other priorities in life at the moment. Enjoy what you have folks

I currently have 3 watches. A Rolex, Ball and Casio. I have had as many as two Rolexs but I usually have to part with one since I dont like having that much money just sitting there. So with 3 watches I have fancy, casual and beater which works for me.

I only have 1 Rolex which is the 116610 LN :)

Current Black Daytona and Coke Ceramic GMT with Oyster (if it comes) could be the only 2 models which I might consider to buy without selling my current Sub Date.

I currently can afford a a new Gmt but cant afford Daytona. The Gmt that I want is not released yet, and Im afraid by the time it will be released it will already have the current price of Daytona. So buying the Daytona now sounds smarter if I sell my Sub. But a long waiting list of Daytona might also make me buy it even with much higher price once it comes. If the Daytona will never be mine, and if I already have sold my Sub Date...Also if the Gmt that I want wont be released....Then I would be without any Rolex for very long time...Plus seeing my sub having an increased value over time will also make me regret....And, I will loose money and time...

I'm so confused and really can not decide what to do...

I have 2 Rolex, The Subc and the SD43, but I wear only 24/7 my SD43, the SubC is in the drawer, sometimes I think to sell the 116610 and put the money on the bank but is even worst that let the subc in the drawer. I found my perfect watch and I'm full with it.

When I owned one Rolex, the Polar, I was very content. I now own five and a sixth is waiting for me at the AD. I am still very content.

Being discontent because I can't have something(s) I can't (or will never) afford doesn't suit me and wastes valuable time.

Content w/ one Rolex 16710, the most versatile Rolex ever made, as well as a stable of modern Tudors that fulfill the land, sea, air, collection requirements.

I have 2. The Explorer goes with everything and the BLNR has a bit more pop. Makes a great duo. I did live with the Explorer as my only for around 18 months and i was fine with just that also.

I have one Rolex, one Seiko and one Timex.

I wear the Rolex a lot more than the others, and am very content.

Never thought I’d want more than one until recently. Wore my TT Blue as a daily for 17 years. Never worried about taking it off or protecting it. I recently had it serviced and after one week with my 25 year old Luminox I went crazy, so decided I wanted a second. Picked up a 116610LN from AD in December. When my TT came back looking like new, I decided I will not wear it in beater situations and share wrist time. Still getting used to the rotation thing but very happy with 2.
I’ve recently started thinking about another, but will resist the temptation as it’s more of TRF addiction itch then anything

One Explorer l has been enough for 40 years of daily wear. I have tried to update to the latest model. But I'm done with long drives to an AD with empty cases.

In answer to the OPs question, no I don’t think I could ever own just one Rolex and be content. I’d need at least 2, ideally three to feel at peace.

I currently have three Rolex, two Seiko and 1 Panerai. I like where my modest collection is at, but one day I’ll probably add a Day Date (if they ever address the bracelet adjustability issue)

I currently own about 25 watches and eight Rolex watches. It is a hobby and I wear them all at some point. I stopped worrying about ownership and wear at some point in the past and I do what I want and my wallet can afford. It is all fun for me.

How many people only have one Rolex and are content?

Contentment, Happiness, Positivity; these come with a list of more important things than the number of Rolex watches you own at one time.

Like:
You Love Your Work.
You Value the Little Things.
You Are at Peace with the World.
You Focus on What You Can Change.
You Don't Care What Others Think.
You Enjoy This Hobby.
You Sleep Easily at Night.
You Have No Regrets.
You Don’t Fear Failure.
You Have a “Yes” Mentality.

I didn’t create the list, just highlighting my focus on what matters most. Yes, one Rolex can suffice.

I am trying to consolidate to a Sub and DJ, but more Rolexes keep invading the watch box.

I have one Rolex. A 114060. I want a 2nd one.

I was going to get another this year, but I just put a pool in my backyard. That cost $75,000.

I then paid off my daughter’s student loans: $25,000.

Now I’m buying my wife a new car.

Maybe next year I’ll treat myself to one.
