Crystal
Hello everyone, I’m new here.
I have one question. I bought this used watch almost a year ago. It’s a Rolex OP Date ref. 15200. I noticed this crystal is a bit different than other crystals of this model I have seen online, and I wanted to ask if it may be aftermarket, and if there is a way to tell. The edge looks a bit “off” to me. I don’t really care if it is aftermarket or not, but when I asked my watchmaker he told me that it’s probably not, since he trusts his sellers and nobody never had issues. He offered me to swap my watch with another one he has if this crystal thing really bothers me (datejusts, roughly the same price). I have no reasons to think he’s lying, maybe he just doesn’t know. What do you think? I don’t want to sell it so the “value” thing does not really bother me. Have never seen any moisture inside, btw. |

Does it have the laser etched crown(LEC) at 6 o'Clock?
You will need a 10X loupe to see it (and a bit of skill) If it does its genuine, if not aftermarket. The LEC was introduced 2002 Here is an example of what it should look like https://www.google.com/search?q=ROLE...a55rX7z5Q4z-tM

This watch is from 2000/1999 and has no etched crown. (Not in this case, not in any other 15200 Rolex).
I’m pretty sure about that. |

So there is no way to tell? I’m just curious. I don’t think that it’ll make my watch “fake” just because of a crystal.
