Well, I have a Sub 14060m for sale (see Sales section) that was sold to me in Hong Kong. They stamped it and put down the purchase date, but did not write in my name. It is still left blank.

Bought a Panerai (PAM50) (Also for sale in sales section) where the warranty card had only the dealers name, but they left out the buyers (myself) name and also did not date it.

i just bought my submariner yesterday and it does not come with the certificate. Instead i have a rolex plastic card that has the AD's address, serial no.,date of purchase and my name written on it.

i was abit worried when my friend who has a seadweller asked whether i have a cert but i just can't find it anywhere in the box. Has the cert been replaced with the card?

He also mentioned about the anchor which is missing.

Don't worry. The warranty paper has just recently been changed to plastic card. And the anchor does not come with the watch anymore now.

Blank papers generally mean the watch has come from the grey market and the warranty would not be from AD, more likely from the grey dealer himself.

I have not heard of unnamed papers, stamped by an AD. This would be an ideal scenario, grey dealer prices, Rolex warranty and unnamed papers.
My new GMT II has dated but unnamed papers - so whilst the warranty runs from the date I bought the watch - If I sell it - the watch would not appear to be 2nd hand/preowned.
Mine is also from the largest group of AD's in the UK - so definately not an grey market watch.
