movement versus maker
I have found several tables that relate a Tudor watch model to a movement number, but none that relate the movement number to the maker of the movement. I have a model 7962 Tudor with a Cal 2403. Can anyone tell me who made the movement and if there is a table somewhere on the 'net containing that type of information?
Thanks, David Alston |

Cal 59 the same movement used in Rolex watches for the Canadian market. In the 1950s they used ebauches from Fleurier and FF Fontmelon, some from ETA.But from the 1960s on modded ebauches from ETA only And to those who complain about ETA movement being like lower grade And that Rolex modified movements suggest it makes them less desirable Then perhaps we need only examine the phenomena of the Rolex Daytona like the 6263/5, which used a modified ETA Valjoux 72 ebauche movement for many many years. I would suggest no one considers these Daytona watches less than acceptable and very desirable Rolex.
