It's a very good watch, I have friends who own the Ranger, they're very happy with it, great fit & finish, cool dial..............but a bit too big for me....I'm gonna wait for the 36mm Black Bay.

It's a cool watch and high quality. I'm sure you would be very happy with your purchase.
Adam may come along soon and post you some of his great photos. There are quite a lot of members here who have one and I think there is even an owners thread set up where you can check out lots of photos and wrist shots

I'm interested in it, I just don't know why they called it a Black Bay. Fixed bezel, different (glossy) dial, lower depth rating, flat crystal, different fabric strap...about the only thing it has in common with the regular BBs is the hands.

I think it looks better in the flesh than in pics. When it was released and I saw the photos, I thought meh...well, saw one in the flesh last year and, wow...very nice.
Plus, this is one of the few watches I think looks better on a strap than the bracelet. |

My unbiased Ranger endorsement.
Ok, maybe not so unbiased. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I had one on a bracelet for a few months and ended up flipping it. It was very nicely finished, and I'd say it probably is nicer on a strap. But it was just slightly too big for my girlish wrists, and as much as I thought I could adapt to the lack of a date complication... I just could not. 30 years of conditioning was too much to over come. It would have made a better weekend watch for me. But it was very nice and if I were in the market I'd probably look for a gently used one on a strap or someone who had bought an extra strap.

I own Explorer and looking forward to get the 2016 version. I also like the Ranger. The dial is so cool; like hand painted hour markers. But hour hand's tip looks a bit weird for me.
I'll try it on again when I buy the Explorer 2016. Thank you for all comments. |

Well there certainly was no lack of their promotion here on the forum. Rio should give you one for your marketing. Do you need a new one or just looking to have a spare? I wear the Ranger on so many different straps mine is still in pretty close to new condition. It's been 115 degrees here the last few days. Mind is in a drawer till September.

Interesting trivia: Rolex registered the name Ranger in 1929, almost a quarter century before they registered the Explorer name. |

I think the Ranger is a great watch both in design and wear. The strap options are endless. The price is amazingly low for what you get and the watch itself is very robust. I enjoy wearing it.

Love my Ranger! Infact it's had the most wrist time since I received it at Christmas (other than my work watch).
Here is mine along side my 50's Tudor |
