It’s gorgeous, wear it in good health.

Thank you both for being kind; watch choices are very personal. The GMT has a long and illustrious history with Rolex. As far as GMTs are concerned, through trial and error, the only time it really sparkled in my mind was with the black insert. For me the answer to the question is neither, black.

Additionally the difficulty (for me at least) in setting the date on the newer movement GMTs was reason enough for me to leave my ExpII on a winder if I wanted to wear it quickly. My 16700 didn't have the date setting problem but as a collectors watch it was out of favor in comparison to the GMTIIs.

Also up until the introduction of the SkyD in PM, there wasn't much choice in appearance. One could either get a GMT with rotating bezel or an ExpII with the dull finished fixed bezel. Neither the Coke nor Pepsi dials are available in SS with a ceramic bezel. I'm one who genuinely doesn't find the BLNR bezel and blue hand attractive. Choosing between the off colored BLRO and a PM SkyD isn't much of a choice either unless one has particularly deep pockets.

At anyrate, thanks for tolerating my view toward the new SkyD and GMT function watches in general.

Coke and Coke for me (not that coke, please...), but has to be European or Mexican, the US version with Corn Syrop can stay away, but haven’t done coffeeine in years so I guess I would go for 2 GMT then...cheers, with a nice Bordeaux...
