Ladies 1920s cocktail watch.
Due to their very small size, they have fallen out of favor with collectors. They usually only sell for their precious metal value today. Your best bet is to find a lady named Dorothy and see if she is interested.

yeah, that's the sad truth I'm afraid
Downunder they're not that uncommon, given our region's heritage of having escaped both wars hence no heirlooms destroyed. Many more arrived here with the euro migrants & refugees following the wars. Back 20-30yrs ago they were easily found in many antique stores... dunno about active collectors but I suspect the people who like them have either ceased accumulating today or moved on to other trinkets. Valuewise... last I asked, it wasn't worth paying a watchmaker to look at them & get it working, not at antipodean rates anyway. But if you're thinking of selling, you'll find a bigger market by checking it's timekeeping and reinstalling a new strap. Buyers might prefer something they can wear, not need repair. |
