Which Rolex Day-date 228206 or 228238?

Hello my friends:thumbs:

I have a watch problem .
Everyday I am wearing a Rolex Submariner 116610 for work..

But I have also a few others in the bank safe.
Currently I have 6 special watches there.
This one:
31242411kr.jpg

But I want to restructure something and increase my collection qualitatively.
I want to have a Daydate in my collection.
I don't know
Rolex 228238 witch the black diamond dial
or
Rolex 223806 Platin

The exchange would look like this:
Rolex 228238 witch the black diamond dial vs Rolex 116509
31242483vz.jpg
Rolex 223806 vs 116509 and 116660 (Can I live with a free place in my collection box?)

My collection should be not only Hichwerig but also special and stable in value.

What would you do in my place ??

Thanks for the advice ... and sorry for my bad english

I think a YG DD would fit perfectly in this white metal collection.

While I love the platinum, based on your collection, go for the YG. Plus you wear your sub daily, trust me you will miss it.

The Submariner remains as a day rocker in any case.

I never thought I'd say this, but I prefer the gold to the platinum in the case. You already have the Daytona, and I wouldn't want to give up the Dblue

Wow...what a stellar collection.

In all honesty, I think the platinum fits in better. That is, if you can live with an empty space.

Yes, and with no blue dial too. Rare that you don't really have a black dial already, the PPs are more greyish.

Are you certain you would you wear a yellow gold watch? Given the stealth nature of your gorgeous collection, yellow gold diamond markers seems like quite a departure. If you would, I'd go YG. You've got the "platinum only" glacier blue dial covered with the platona.

I never really thought I would like a YG watch, but it was love at first sight on the wrist. When I saw the clock for the first time(on the display table) I thought, who can wear such a clock.
On the other hand, the DD in YG is not so blinkblik - rather noble.
A DD in WG is too boring for me, every clock in the collection is something special ...

So far, I've never worn a YG watch, but I like it very much.
On the other hand, would platinum be much nobler?
But if that works well with one less clock and one more platin blue dial ?

I was assuming you meant this would be one option for the state of your collection after you shuffled things around.

Basically I'm saying to go with the YG DD.

I think the YG DD rounds things off quite nicely for your collection. That would be my pick.

I'll vote for the platinum. I just think the platona and platinum DD (...playdate??) as a pair are unbeatable.

Hard to turn down platinum, but based on your current collection, YG wins.

Great collection. I would think that if you really wanted to go YG you would have. Based on the watches you own I would go with the Platinum Day Date 40 all day long. It is an amazing watch and would be a great addition.
