16570 Crystal Question

Over the last almost 6 months, I have had been on a roller coaster of issues on my 16570 service. Looking back at it, I would have done a variety of things differently, but it was an important lesson learned....

So after getting my watch back I instantly realize something is off. Is this crystal mounted too high? What are your guys thoughts....I would hate to send it back..again..but this does not look correct.

This might be a better picture but if you look at it, the crystals beveled edge is total exposed with a good portion of the straight edge also exposed. Looking at pictures, it seems that the start of the beveled portion should be flush with the bezel.

I don't have my 16570 anymore to compare, but I see what you mean. I'm comparing to pics online, and it does seem a bit high.

The watch maker responded back and agreed the crystal is sitting too high. He has told me rolex has changed the gaskets and the new gasket is 0.2mm higher. Worth sending back or just leave as is?

I would leave it and move on, if I were you.

Looks fine to me. Mine was serviced about two years ago and the crystal sits like yours. I've taken it in the ocean and the pool with no issues.

I love the high crystal. I wish my subC was higher, like the SD4K!
Keep it if it was done correctly. It looks great - catches light!

I've just picked up a Polar 16570 and the beveled edge of the crystal starts after the edge of the besel.

As others said - I wouldn't be worried if done properly. In case you decide to keep it as, make sure you pressure test the watch.
Was the gasket change was done by RSC?
