I still don't understand why Rolex didn't design a true moon phase function, as opposed to a "moon" function.

I agree. I would've like to have seen the stages of the moon and not just a full moon in different quadrants. Kind of feels like Rolex missed the ball on this one. Gorgeous watch though!
