Dan, I never tire of looking at your Tudor pics all around TRF.
They really inspired me, leading to my 79280P and 71970

My 79180. I love this watch more and more as I wear it!

It's seen a lot of wrist time since I got it.

I will have to start using #teambigblock on IG!

Just curious, do all Tudor watches have the rolex crown?

Until early/mid-90s, I believe both case backs and crowns were Rolex (my wife has a mini-sub from late 80s with both). On Big-Blocks they were both crown and casebacks. The early following model 792xx had a mixture and at this point I need to hand over to Dan Pierce

Thanks, mate.

The Big Blocks [791XX] and earlier references had Rolex crowns, case backs, and Oysterdate dials. The early 792XX had the same but then started a transition to Tudor shield crowns, case backs, and Prince Date dials. So some 792XXs has any combo of both. The 792XXP [for polished lugs] had all Tudor markings.

Question for the Big Block experts - are the bezels interchangeable between the 79170 and the 79180? I would love to be able to pop on a black bezel every now and then on my 79180.

Yes, but a little bit easier said than done as extra bezels are hard to source and removing the fixed bezel without scratching takes some skill.

Here's my 79180. I recently sent it back to Rolex in New York for a complete overhaul and I love it. It's surprising to me that these aren't more appreciated.
