Everyone can appreciate a Paul Newman

Just had the pleasure of looking at one on this and taking it out of the case... What an amazing watch...

Very nice! I like vintage, but can't get past the crazy prices some of those things go for.

They need to bring this dial back in some sort of precious metal. Wow

I certainly appreciate that dial's clarity. But owning one would be quite an approach-avoidance conflict for me.
On the one hand, wonderful to wear; on the other, terrible risk to wear.
Then keeping it all correct when serviced would be nightmare sourcing parts.
So I admire it from afar and would definitely support the concept of Rolex adding a line of "historic" dials for certain models.
Like the PLN for Daytona
Lapis & Malachite for DD
Pie Pan for DJ
Mark I for Sub
DR for SD

You get the idea...

I was offered that very model by a member.
It was a difficult decision.
As watches are only a hobby for me (my wife said yes) I turned it down.

Life goes on......

I must be the only person who doesn't really like it haha

Being only 23 maybe due to me preferring the newer models to vintage....

Not a fan of any modern Daytona...the no crown guard Daytona's especially the Paul Newman's, Big Reds etc. are gorgeous and if I could afford one I'd own one no doubt...but given that the prices of Paul Newman's are going anywhere from $100k to $150k I doubt i'll be in the market for one anytime soon...the yellow gold PN's are hovering right around the $350k to $400k area from what i've seen...that is insane.
