How much does a solid gold submariner weigh?

This question comes up from time to time. Couldn't help but play w these scales at work tonight. I have two full links removed from my submariner

Deep blue for comparison. Divers extension and one link removed. Then I added in a half link

I was going to say 220 when I saw the title. I believe the platinum Daytona is 270.

Platinum Daytona is amazing I've tried it on at AD. Love the weight. How is the speedmaster working out for you so far?

At work right now and loving it . Much more practical than the Daytona for checking patients pulses etc. Having to unscrew the pushers on the Daytona was a bummer. Guess I could have left them unscrewed tho now that I think of it . But I was always worried about dust getting in notice the chronograph is set to 21 for the date. Really love that trick :).

To throw some more numbers around I think the subs and gmt are around 150grams in steel and 175 in two tone.

It looks good. Thanks for that trick, I never thought of that. Gotta love the man on the moon. Hope you still keep the BLRO tho

Still beside myself that the gold sub weighs more than my deep blue. Love it

Those are both definitely beastly! Given the relatively 'close' weight - is one more comfortable then the other?

Great question. To me they both wear very similar. In my mind it kind of nullifies the "top heavy" argument that people have against deepsea because the gold sub feels just as top heavy to me and both pretty much feel the exact same on my wrist. Maybe slight edge goes to gold sub as it's ever so slightly less "floppy" up on my wrist. Love them both for different purposes!

Must be 250-260 based on what I'm assuming the 619 weighs. Nice pic!

Thanks. I have surprisingly small wrists, so I need 3 links removed. The platona is 262 and the smurf is 214.

Mine is 262 with 3 links removed. Dr. Tom's is ~282 with 2 links removed. Doing the math, it should weigh ~322 with all links.
