DJ bracelet questions....

I have a OP 116000 that I am considering trading in on a new/newer DJ 16234 (silver dial, sticks, fluted bezel and jubilee). What year did Rolex go to the hidden clasp on this model? Is it any better than the older/larger clasp with micro adjustments? I think it looks cleaner and is less area to show swirls' and scratches as my OP seems to rest on that part of the bracelet when at my desk typing. My local AD also said the new DJ I tried on has SELs and wont stretch. I have always read about jubilee bracelet stretch but I don't understand how these stretch and how big of a problem it is. Rolex has become like fast food menus these days...too many options for a simple guy like me (joking, sort of). I am trying to find out what year/model number it is that I like so I can really start to put together a trade. Thank you!
