Glad you got it back. The same happened to me too - except the watch only fell on the bed at home. I did enjoy putting the GMT IIC on NATO over summers - never again!

Good to hear you watch back, and looks great on the bracelet

Never understand putting thousands of dollars worth of watch on $20 strap

Relax, if a man shows up at my job with (nearly impossible to find) Colombian beer, I'd hug him.

I'm really glad it was found and returned to you. That is awesome.
At the risk of being flamed, I'll say I really don't get wearing an expensive mechanical instrument on my wrist when playing golf. Sure they can take it but I still don't get it.

You should have gotten him San Miguel.

Congrats on getting the watch back.

Maybe we can add addendum - not best for sporting activity.

Curious that Natos are often mentioned as being safer than normal straps and bracelets, but yet it turned out to be the cause.

Not all Mexicans are named Miguel...

Anyhow great story. 'Funny' how you almost lost the watch because of the NATO.

You played the entire back nine without noticing it was gone? How many of those German beers did you have on the front nine?

Just kidding, glad you got it back and have now convinced me to stop thinking about a nato strap. Original bracelet only for me!

That's not a true NATO buckle. While the failure for this is unknown, NATO's are very safe options. Probably more so than a bracelet when made and worn correctly.

Congratulations on the return of a great watch!!!!

I personally have a hard time imagining one of my Nato straps unbuckling on its own unless it was very loose. First. there's the buckle and then there's the double backed strap end in the retaining ring which have to fail. Seems to me that any strap other than one with a deployant buckle is at risk for this. Truthfully, I'd suspect operator error as the real cause for it coming undone.

At any rate, again congratulations to you for getting your watch back!!!

Very nice, that is better than a hole in one. What a blessing that he found it before he ran it over with the mower. The Golf Gods have smiled upon you.

Nice to hear you rewarded those who helped!
