Diamonds are not just for Ladies.

Personally I love the diamonds on my Datejust 41. Do you? I was reading on a thread on here that some people think Diamonds are just for girls?

Doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. You are the one that has to wear it.

If you like it, go for it

I am not a diamonds guy. But when I saw them on the Platinum Daytona, my perception totally changed and I think it's the best looking Daytona! They're really subtle and add a very distinctive pop to the watch.

I used to have a gold watch with diamonds on it, I loved it.

Definitely not for everyone but as long as you enjoy it it's all that matters.

Everyone has their personal preferences. When you're spending this much money on a watch, you should buy exactly what you want

During my recent DJ41 purchase in the UK the AD suggested against diamonds and also rose gold for a gents watch, suggesting they were for the ladies.

BUT... if it floats your boat, go with it!

I really like baguette indicators the best because of their rectangular shape. But personally, I think diamonds go better with PM or TT watches like your DJ. Seems too formal for full SS.

Generally I think diamonds/stones are very feminine but I nearly bought an 18k Serti sub, a jewel set GMT and an 18k YM with a ruby due. Sometimes they look lovely

If you like them then for you diamonds aren't just for women. Though I won't be comfortable wearing them on a watch, or maybe anything.

where?

if anything, many think they have no business on a sport rolex but they do work on PM and ladies to compliment the watch. the cut also has a big part.

when they stand out more than the watch, or render a complication or feature useless, i say nay nay.

Get whatever you like. I do not have any watches with diamonds, but I have nothing against them. I just prefer Subs over dressier watches. My wife has a beautiful 116231 with a factory white diamond dial. Rolex does really nice settings and uses nice stones. I have worn hers on several occasions with a suit and it does not look or feel feminine to me.

Qutie frankly, it might not be your taste but I don't think it is distasteful. In fact, I find the setting of those diamonds to be rather nice and allowing an even sparkle over it.

Your opinion may vary, of course, but in the context of having a watch covered with gems I find it rather lovely myself.

My wife's Datejust(s) have always had diamonds. The first one only had them on the markers, the second one (31mm) I had to go with the full bezel/marker diamond setup. I think this is the most elegant setup that Rolex has for a dressy occasion.

I will gladly buy a DJ41 rhodium/diamond/jubilee as a dress watch, as a his/hers combo to the above.

(pic from one of the old postings here)

or in two tone, beautiful with chocolate dial:

Had a serti dial sub many years ago- looked great when I bought it but grew tired of the look quite quickly.
Some of the DD & the Platona with subtle baguettes look very nice IMO

I'm another guy who appreciates DJ models with diamond dials. I admit to being biased; I wear a rose gold DD with a dark MOP diamond dial. The fact that my DD complements my wife's DJ with rose gold and dark MOP diamond dial pleases me and is one of the reasons I chose this DD. So, my advice is simply to buy what you like (and what you can afford).

If you like it get it and enjoy it, for me it’s just too gaudy.
