Amazing story abozz. I hope your sub brings you many years of joy.

To all the others, if you take the time to read it you'll see that it only takes a bit of effort. What this guy has gone through to reach his goals is really something.

Great post and welcome to the Forum. Very much from the heart. Your attachment to your fathers watch brand of choice is very touching. And the No Date Sub is an absolute classic. I would never part with mine.

Congrats on a fine watch. I sold my GMT to buy another watch. I have since regretted it. Enjoyed the read even though a bit difficult. Keep posting.

My father taught me if you are going to give yourself away or give something that is always the best, if you do not have money for a gift, buy the best chocolate, which will give the recipient more pleasure than a bad shirt. that's why I bought a Rolex.

My father, a doctor, practiced medicine for 40 or more years. always with his DJ, at the end a seadweller.

Whenever I stop wearing a Rolex for carrying another brand, I missed my watch, until I understood, at least for me only Rolex

Going from rich to poor, from middle class to poor, a whole country, but every time I see the little white gold belts of my beloved Sub Sonrio, they have not defeated me, my spirit still dreams

Something doesn't make sense here. Anyone reading the forum for 4 years would have seen many warnings against eBay and many, many posts advocating trusted sellers.

I'm sure you could have bought from a trusted seller and had the watch sent to your friend in Miami.

The lawyers say the good faith is presumed and the bad one is to prove it, this is a forum where we all participate in good faith, your doubts I prefer to think that they are concern. Thanks

Wow, talk about having a passion for this brand. Very interesting story. Your friend is very brave and I'm glad all worked out well on the end.

I have no idea what you are saying. I was just trying to offer a little advice that there are other buying options rather than buying off eBay and worrying about it so much like you did. A 4-year reader of the forum knows some of the worry-free options available via this website. In any case, I'm glad you got your watch.
