I Need Some Information
I'm interested in this Rolex Date.
The reference number is 14k 1503 and the serial number is 4113xxx. Any comments?

15238
I don’t know a lot about them, but it’s 34mm and I think they made them in both 14K & 18K? Better wait for the experts... |

I just got off the phone and changed the information in the OP. It's a 14k 1503 and the serial number is 4113xxx. I just bought it.

Classy looking as hell....and I don't even like yellow gold watches. Pretty sharp looking case too from the looks of it. Well done.

I was going to get it out of layaway this evening, even though I just put on layaway this afternoon, but the debit card balked. I'll get it out tomorrow.

Awesome Grady!!! I am insanely jealous. That’s about a birth year watch for me. You ever want to let it go, DM me.

The 34mm gold Rolexes (14k and 18k) are the forgotten treasure of watches. The Zephyr Date is especially rare. Yours is a stunning example. Take this from someone who has made too many mistakes...never ever sell it. No matter how boring you think it has become, no matter how much you want the money for another watch...just keep buying those 34mm gold watches and you'll eventually have quite a nice little retirement fund.

Not 15238, that’s 18ct with sapphire glass and 3135 calibre.
Try 1503/7 for 14ct acrylic glass OPD with 1570-badged 1575 calibre. H

There are so many things to learn about these beautiful timepieces! Grady, I'm glad you took the plunge. I passed on a 14K all gold example (with gold bracelet) last year - the asking price was $13250CDN which I couldn't justify for a 14K piece. Aside from the price though, I assure you I was in love with it! |
