Got a voice mail from my AD...

Hi guys,

I got back and from 6 weeks long vacation in South East Asia and got a voice mail a day before Thanksgiving saying that my SD43 is at the AD ready to be picked up. Today I called my favorite AD and asked if the watch is still available since it has been 3 weeks ago when they left the message. Well, they told me so many people has asked for this SD43 but they keep for me even the supply on SS sport watches is very very tight...So looks like I am to pick it up later this weekend.

It's good that it's a 2017 SD43 so it's a real 50th Anv Sea Dweller, next year who knows LOL/Just kidding :)

Thanks guys! Picked up the SD43 this afternoon, the watch was still in the plastic coffin when they took it out for the 1st time, I checked it out and put it back in the coffin with all the protective plastic tapes undisturbed and watch bracelet unsized. The SD43 now comes with a larger box.

The saleperson at the AD told me they only got 2 SD43 this year and much more SS Daytona so they told me to them this SD43 is rarer than the SS Daytona. The AD expects Rolex to increase the price next year.

Dude, my fellow coworker, congrats on your new SD. This is awesome. I know how much this means to you, 50th anniversary and all.

Yes that AD is great group of people.

Love to hook up and see it on you.

Thanks Faz! Our AD is great! And as you have seen it and tried it out the SD43 is beautiful so you get one if you can before the price increase :) I have checked out at least Rolex 20 ADs in East Asia and their SS sport watch inventory is very thin to almost non-existed so I never seen another SD43 at the Rolex AD. The only SD43 I saw when I was at a grey dealer who has SD43 listed for $14500 in Thailand

That’s amazing....totally different market I know, but in the UK you’d struggle to get one at list.

If you did get the phone call, normally they insist on it being paid for and collected within a very tight timeframe, often 24/48 hours.
