8500 for a Santos de Cartier
Hello all!! Haven't posted in a while but I'm thinking of trading in my 42mm Planet Ocean 8500 for a medium SS Santos de Cartier. I know they are very different aesthetically and from a technological standpoint but I was looking to get some insight if I should make the move... Any help is greatly appreciated thanks in advance.

Between those two, I'd lean more towards the Santos, since it looks and feels a little more refined and classy on the wrist. The thin case profile is a HUGE added bonus.

I dig that Cartier
If the Planet Ocean is all-orange then I would take pause before trading it, but if it's black then I would do the trade. |

That trade does not appeal to me but it is a matter of personal choice.

The new Santos is a pretty fantastic piece - classic design and very versatile. Between a Planet Ocean and a Santos I’d opt for the Santos.
Be sure to try all the sizes on - coming off a PO the medium Santos may wear small. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I've never been a fan of Cartier...but... recently the medium Santos appeals to me.

Thanks for the input everyone. I failed to mention that I have a 116610LN Sub so that may make the Santos a better pairing and will be somewhat less redundant.

The Santos is a great watch I've been eyeing it for a while, I favor it over the Tank or any other Cartier.
As for the PO, I have a 42mm 2500, a real favorite of mine, so for personal reasons I would have trouble letting go, but with a Sub you still have a great dive watch.

Santos and Sub are a great combination. If you have those 2 watches, no need for anything else. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I’ve come close to buying a Cartier, but something always gives me pause.
They do make aesthetically beautiful watches though |
