A client gave me a gift

http://www.omegawatches.com/spirit/l...h-time/summary

One of my clients surprised me with a gift this week - Omega's Journey Through Time compendium! I was blown away, it was such a kind gesture on his part and a staggering book for an Omega buff. I highly recommend it if you were considering picking it up. It's 800 pages, 10 pounds, and illustrated to the extreme. Very little text, mostly images of watches, components, advertising and props. The scope is ridiculous, I've never seen ANY watch book cover as many models and variations from a single company.

Wow, that is one impressive book! But at $360 I'll probably hold off...

if you decide to sell

Hi Jec.
I would love to own this book, but it costs so much, I am holding back to find a pre-ownwed copy someday. So If you every decide to sell it please let me.
my e-mail is boxster911@btinternet.com. Cheers and I am envious of you.

Sorry but I will never sell it. He's a stand up fellow and I would never take advantage of his generosity. In fact he returned this week and is giving me his library! He is packing up and hiking cross-country and wants someone to take over his collection. There are some very rare and desireable books, but out of respect to him I will never part with them.

There's a colossal disconnect between the watches in your signature and your protesting that this book costs too much. I spend that at Starbucks in a month. Really.

books or watches

Hi Brian.
I guess I rather spend the money £400 (in the UK) towards a new watch than on a book, A lovely book I grant you, but I suspect I am not alone in the forum in feeling this. I guess this is also why I have a lovely collection of Omega watches rather than a lovely collection of watch books.
