What's Your Favorite Pen in the $0-$10.00 Range?

When I was a kid, we almost all used BIC pens. Now I love Pilot, in particular the G-2 and Center of Gravity models. While I own some "nice" pens and appreciate the fine workmanship that went into them, I find writing with the cheaper ones much more comfortable overall. What are your impressions? And of course, what is your favorite inexpensive pen?

My favorite under $10.00 pens are the Pilot G-2 gel writers with a very narrow(.38)line. They work great and I do not mind lending them to others to use!!!

honestly? bic ballpoints are pretty friggin good. they do what ya need em to do, and you can use them for a variety of purposes. I know first hand from high school that they make great makeshift bows and arrows when paired with a rubber band ;)

Pilot G-2, 07 and 05. I don't like using ballpoints any more.

Early 1900s dip-pen & pencil combo, made in England.

It cost me all of $5, it came with a pencil, and the nibs are dirt cheap, probably a cent each.

I try to grab a couple of pens from my doctor's office every year. They always have a stash of great looking pens compliments of the pharmaceutical reps although that seems to be going away. I noticed my teenage son using a pen advertising Flomax on it the other day. I told him he may want to leave that one at home.

This is my $3.85 Hero 1002. It has a razor sharp fine nib and a converter. I picked it up when I was making another order because I wanted to see what a $3.85 fountain pen looked like. It is a simple basic pen but it does have a very smooth sharp nib. I do have some ballpoint pens in the glove box but never use them since I always have a fountain pen on hand.

I'm with you. Gel ink is so much more intense and aesthetically pleasing, I have a marked preference for it.

Pen Thief

I stopped buying pens, they would be swiped by my customer so I started swiping them back.

Just get them imprinted with your company / contact information and consider it advertising.

I usually get my ball point pens from the bank. They have a cool chain attached at the top. One good tug, the chain breaks and it's mine. I figure that if they didn't want me to have it they wouldn't keep leaving them on the counter.

I have a few Hero Parker 61 homage pens that are just remarkable in every way.

Makes me wonder why I spend so much $$$$$$ on other models!

Sheesh!
