Hand held? That’s amazing you must have steady hands. May I ask which lens that was?

Handheld was for a reason. This is Fuji's first OIS prime so I wanted to test it out. XF80mm f/2.8 Macro. F8. ISO 640 SS 1/64th. JPEG They claim it is good for 5 stops. I don't have any dedicated macro gear yet but so far this thing is pretty impressive to this macro newb. |

Cool I have the Fujifilm XE-2, so that should fit on my camera body? I should check that out.

Never mind I just saw the price too rich for my blood. I’ll keep my Nikkor 105 thank you.

The 80 seems to be a pretty nice portrait lens too. |

Nice !! some early reviews on the web have been very positive.
I was using the 56mm 1.2 on my XT 1 with cheap arsed $26, non-fuji extension tubes for Macro...predictably, they've crapped out, so looking to get the proper Fuji ones this time. |

I don’t find the autofocus on the 80 as fast as the 16-55 or 50-140 but it’s pretty good. The 56 is a magical lens. Little fussy in autofocusing but such a great optic. Happy shooting! |

Nice!
I am still waiting for Canon to release some primes for the EF-M mount. Perhaps 2018 will be the year... |

Thanks, gents! Sorry - totally slammed at work. Haven't had time to play. Took a few snaps while watching the Seahawks yesterday. Wanted to try focus stacking. This is 4 images merged together for 4 different depth of field perspectives. Gets more in focus in theory.
Did a lousy job lighting so this is just a quick and dirty trial run. More / better to come. Focus stack v1 |
