GMT-Master II flies British Airways first class
Dubai to London Heathrow, 27th June 2011, seat 2K, Boeing 777 aircraft.
The seat has a nice little table to stand your Rolex on to keep an eye on the time as the flight goes by. You can see this clearly in the third photo. I had to sit backwards in the seat to take these shots and get the back light from the windows. But there was plenty of room there to thrash about. |

Great PICs, although maybe a bad place to put it if you actually do take a nap.

Very cool. I've flown British Airways first class from Detroit to London and it is just ridiculous how much nicer it is than the American planes.

My GMT [and I] enjoyed first class on both 10 hour legs of a trip to Barcelona. I'm 6'4" and could completely stretch out in the brand new Airbus pods. First time I've ever wanted a flight to last a bit longer so I could grab a nap before landing.

Nice work! Hope it was a free upgrade as BA isn't worth paying for!!
Still better than AA though

Nice. BA has by far the best First and Business Class cabins; miles ahead (pun intended) of any American carriers.

if i walked by and saw your GMT on the tray like that while you're snoring, i would ask the passengers if anyone is wearing a fake GMT and switch yours.

BA first and business classes are great! Their economy class is pretty bad though.

Nice shots. I am a newbie and have been meaning to post on TRF as I basically look at it every day. This one prompted me as I have flown BA--LHR-LAX for most of last year. On one of those trips to London I picked up my first Rolex at Watches of Switzerland. A GMTIIC. The flight home was "in the bubble" of a BA 747. Even during the cabin crew strike, BA was such a superior airline

Assuming that your (or the one you work for) company paid for this, I bet the price of that ticket is close to what the purchase price of a second hand GMT-IIc costs

BA first and business class are first rate. I wish American Airlines would take note.

Wow - I thought getting the exit row was a good day in the air. That looks incredible.

Always nice to be seated at the pointy end of the plane.

American Airlines first class on the 757 is the worst. I don't even think it's called first class, I think business class. I've done it from MIA to Recife, Brasil like 6 times in the last year. It's horrible. And flying out of MIA is the worst experience all the time.
Last time I landed in Miami, June 1st this year, customs had me locked up for 4.5 hours. I will now fly out of Dallas, catch a 767, now that's a nice plane and a great airport. Only plane worse then a 757 is a DC9 super 80. AA is selling all those and going with the new 737-900 I believe, better leg room if you get stuck in the back with the regular peeps. No ROLEX should ride coach

Travelling with a 1A or 1B boarding pass takes most of the stress out of air travelling. I am quite fond of 1A I must confess, on any airline.
Plus you arrive at destination sooner.
