Rolex Air King 5500 (Non-luminous, alpha hand) Questions

Hi all,

I recently come across a 5500 combo that I always wanted. Everything looks good to me, seller is also reputable but my inexperience with the possible 5500 combos out there raises with me some questions.

First off, the dial is said to be non-luminous and the hand set seems to support that, there's no "T" in the "Swiss" text too. However, I can't help but notices the dots behind the indices. On a luminous model, those would be lume plots so is it normal for a non-luminous mode to have those?

Another thing is the watch is claimed to be from 1975 but I thought alpha hands were discontinued way before that? I asked for the serial to confirm but am still curious in the meantime.

Thanks!

PS: I don't have enough posts to post image yet but I can share in messages if needed.
