Absolutely amazing duo. I think my head would explode if I got both in the same week (or ever at all). I give the slight edge to the Patek

5370 for me.
The ALS is impressive but too busy to look at.

How do they sit on the wrist Roger?

And for next week’s grand reveal, Roger will be pictured with the Presidents of a couple of third world countries, whose debts he cleared after pulling a few all-night shifts.

The comparison is a tad unfair in favour of the AL&S, but purely in answer to the question posed, the Lange runs rampant all over the Patek – and you know how I feel about that chrono seconds hand’s counterbalance and the moonphase display.

I thought you were done with Patek after how (you felt) you were treated by them?

Thank you everyone. I will report back on how the 5370 sits on the wrist after a few days when the strap is broken in a bit. It is my first Patek for nearly two years. I remain extremely disappointed with the way they have dealt with me and I certainly will buy very carefully henceforward with a focus on buying used so I don’t need to put up with their extensive BS on allocations, wait lists, prioritisations as well as the general appalling lack of communication. The only current model that appeals beyond this one is the 5270p and I will wait patiently for prices to settle rather than rushing in at full retail. The experience I have buying and dealing with other brands is just so much more pleasurable, they will continue to get the bulk of my hard earned.

Overall I would give it to the Patek, altho I do prefer the mvmt of the Lange. Today I was looking at a Dato Perpetual, not the tourb, and it is an outstanding piece.

Roger, huge congrats. I like them both but side with the Patek. I just love the dial and the mono pusher. Both are stunning. The ALS movement is beautiful. I am waiting to hear what you find most comfortable.

No problem. I'll do it. You just have to bring your watches

My guess is RG ROO 25th anniversary tourbillon with some sort of AP customization. Like a ceramic bezel maybe. Whatever it is, im betting its not off the shelf.

Re the 5740 Not a Nautilus fan I am afraid. Owned a 5990 briefly but didn’t change my view.

The incoming of all incomings! They are both beautiful, but I think the Patek has a slight edge.

Hope you thoroughly enjoy both.

Cheers,
Carl
