Anybody remember these guys? 50 years ago tonight was the debut of Adam-12.

It really wasn't one of the shows I liked back then.

Couldn't stand this show ... what was the name of the fire station one hmm or maybe it included the ER room. I'm getting too old but beats the alternative

It was called Emergency. LA County Rescue Squad 51 with Paramedics Gage and DeSoto along with Rampart Hospital ER. Jack Webb produced that one also.

Really never cared for any of the Jack Webb shows.
Give me The Wild Wild West instead.

I do. Probably some of the influence that made me want to be a Police Officer.

It's funny, when I see an episode of 'All in the Family' (1971), the writing and acting still seem very fresh to me, and I enjoy watching it. Yet if I try to watch a show like 'Adam 12' (1968), I can't get past the datedness of it. In its look, in its style, in its attitude towards the world it's set in, it might as well be from 100 years ago, or from another planet all together.
Maybe it's comedy versus drama, maybe it's a matter of direction, or maybe it's just me and my own frames of reference, but whatever it is, it's a big entertainment turn off.

I loved it!!! Officers Reed and Malloy. I liked them responding to calls sitting perfectly upright in the cruisers with their hats perfectly placed!! Then the call would be dispatched and they'd zoom in on the radio in the console, it was about the size of a pack of cigarettes!!!! My Explored has so much equipment inside it's crazy!!!!!! One Adan 12, one Adam 12 see the woman on Peco Blvd!!!!

I watched all seasons on Netflix and really enjoy it. Martin Milner was good in that as he was in several of shows (77 Sunset strip etc)
