Agree! Vladdy is authentically WYSIWYG. I especially like the way every other statement is some kind of assurance that the diamonds are real.

I wonder if Anthony knows that all the watches he transfers into his “personal collection” may constitute income to him which is taxable? He has around $1M in watches he’s paid himself with. That’s a pretty big personal income tax bill.

Great post. I was thinking the same thing a few weeks ago when he was talking about his "collection".

He’s talked about his collection being his retirement fund. There’s probably a way to take ownership through a tax deferred vehicle like a SEP or profit sharing plan but I doubt he’s thought this through or gotten professional advice. And, he seems to sell them off if he wants/needs to and that would trigger taxes and penalties.

Haha i stopped watching them weeks a go. The empty legs on jets, trying to be flashy as possible, and the assistant who was dressed like she was ready to hit uptown at moments notice.

Math has never worked for me. I wouldn't be surprised if they are expensing everything their personal lives as a business expense, the eating out etc.

Now hearing of a “new space” and they want donations has major red flags.

They fired that new girl from all the negative feedback. At least they responded. I hate what they do because it cheapens the experience but enjoy watching. It’s great when they throw around their inventory and let associates wear em and we cherish ours like a first born. Just note, if you’re ever brave enough to buy from them the watch is more likely than not polished or as they call it “freshened” up.

I find it fascinating that people watch this or any "reality" show and get emotionally invested in the "characters".

Seems like watching wresting and getting all worked up about the winners and losers in the choreography.

I used to enjoy the informative shows by Roman. The new reality TV stuff isn’t for me but I hope brings him great success. He still makes it quite educational as he provides explanations but it’s more geared towards preowned watch business which does not interest me.

Working the hustle. That's their game, and if done right it works... for them while entertaining....

Think of it like New Media with a culturally different set of 'ethics'.

She was supposedly building up their female clientele.

I'm amused that the original business model was gray market watch sales, yet they needed 5 employees in a ~300 sq ft retail space. Their weekly recaps indicated they were moving ~20-25 watches a week; how many employees do you need for that, seriously?

Simply a move to monetize a Youtube/social media audience, just based on the watch business.

No episode posted this week. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s been an uprising by those who handed them $$ to build out their store, which is no longer being built.

Instead of spending $ on luxury cars they should hire a serious business lawyer and tax advisor.

The trade show episodes are pretty informative.

I actually never knew you could basically buy a membership to these trade shows and go there and haggle for grey market pieces at what are essentially wholesale prices.

I'm also surprised at the amount of grey market dealers from Mexico at these shows.
