Trade: Chronometre Bleu for Centigraphe?
Given current price levels of the CB, I thought about trading in my mint and full set CB for a Centigraphe Souverain in platinum, which is a watch I've always admired. I might have to pay some extra cash on top.
Would be curious to get the views from the FPJ aficionados on this trade in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

You would be moving up
quite a bit on the haute horology scale. Go for it!

If you like it more ... then do it.
But not only because it's more complicated. Just like you can get pretty complicated Patek for a 5711A ... Only do it if you want it much more

I like the trade provided you won’t miss the CB. I wouldn’t but blue is not my first choice for a watch.

I will not swap my CB for a Centigraphe or Resonance.
Why? Because I love minimalism. I love the deep dynamic blue. |

If you like it more then yes. For me, I would not let my CB go for that particular Centigraphe. But that’s me.
A while back I let a simple overpriced and overhyped watch go for some something far “better”. No question I got something with far more horological significance and of far greater intrinsic value. I wasn’t wearing the watch I let go regularly, and so it’s not something that was hugely missed. If you do wear your CB a lot then that is something to consider, does this watch replace it? Does something else? Just because it’s got more going on doesn’t mean it’s the right choice. |

Most of the time I would say the bleu is superior (collector wise) and not worth most trades but this trade is a no brainer as put above.
How much more would you have to kick in?

Hard choice, both are amazing and unique. You can’t go wrong either way.

Keep the blue. Mass appeal vs odd centigrade.
Blue is a classic now and forever.

I had the centigraphe. Only gripe is that it’s hard to read.
But this trade is a no brainer. |

Had both, I’d go centigraphe
Then again, I sold both before prices skyrocketed, so what do I know... |

I have the CB if you like it more I would do the trade, but I would never put money + the CB for that model of CENTI. If it was a Black Label Ok but not for the regular Centi

+1 on this. The CB seems like it does not fit you. The Centi is fantastic piece. Me? I’d keep that CB. You might be able to get another Centi but perhaps not a CB. Good luck. Overall, can’t loose either way. |

I prefer the CB, and therefore wouldn’t trade mine for a centigraphe. If i only likes the CB “a little”’or didn’t get excited every time I put it on my wrist, then I would prob do that trade without the extra cash
