1970 KING SEIKO 4502-8010 HI-BEAT Chronometer
Condition This vintage 1970 King Seiko 4502-8010 Chronometer is in unusually fine condition, both inside and out, with sharp case edges and correctly polished surfaces. The light silver/ivory-sunburst dial and hands are all very clean, as are the applied SEIKO and KS dial logos and indices. The only blemishes I can find are two very small light spots near the 11 o’clock marker. The gold caseback medallion shows light wear, and the acrylic crystal and original KS-signed smooth-winding crown are also in great shape. The individually numbered, hand-winding Hi-Beat 4502A Chronometer movement is bright and clean, and keeping very good time (losing about five seconds in 24 hours). Quickset date function works as it should. You can find out more about the outstanding 45KS movement here. Facts & Figures Production date: May 1970. Case width: 37mm. Height: 9.5mm. Lug width: 18mm. Lug to Lug: 42mm. Movt: Handwinding 4502A, 25-jewel, hacking, quickset date. BPH: 36,000. PR: 40 hours. Crystal: Acrylic. Waterproof: No. Strap: New German ostrich leather.
