Trading for an Omega
Figured this would be better answered in the Omega area as I can get impartial advice. Feel like I know what the answer would be in the Rolex section, so need opinions from Omega guys.
Would it be a fair offer to try and trade a Pepsi 126710 for a Silver Snoopy 45th? |

No - I’d want money back. Can’t see the snoopy staying that high and blro will hold 18
For a while. I’d pay maybe 13-14 for snoopy (maybe) |

Our hobby doesn't make much sense, but IMHO one must be brave to do something like that.

Interesting, the Omega guys would rather be on the Rolex side of this one.
I don't really care about $$$ amounts here, just like the Snoopy watch. Difficult part is now I need to find one and a willing owner. Thanks for the responses. |

I'd think the snoopy is the long term winner for sure. The blro is hyped/new. It'll be around for many years and other new Rolex releasees will deflate the bubble even if the supply situation doesn't change....Omega almost certainly will never re-release the 45th Apollo 13 Snoopy due to the enamel caseback being far more cost intensive than they originally thought.
That said...which do you like more? |

I think it is debatable which is the long term winner, and everyone will have their arguments, but that's noise to me, I want to wear the Silver Snoopy. Just need to find a Snoopy owner that wants a Pepsi, prob easier said than done. Was curious what Omega fans thought and the first couple seem to be on the Pepsi side, now the hunt begins. |

I think right now the BLRO is gonna go for more but in the long term the Snoopy is the watch to have.

This might be your best bet. Take advantage of the fervor surrounding the new Rolex release and capitalize on it. I'm guessing you should be able to move those funds over to pick up the Snoopy at near a 1:1 on the secondary market.

Depends on your collection and your preferences.
I have Rolex watches and Omega watches and have bought the models I liked and not for any future financial gains - that would just be a bonus. This Snoopy model is very nice but the price point is high especially in Oz. I wouldn't buy it at current pricing and I don't buy watches as an investment. Pass. That Pepsi is in the same boat.... To me my Z 116713 and M 16710 are streets ahead on my wrist.

Trading for an Omega
It’s a great watch. As others have said and will say, nothing makes sense in this hobby and sometimes you just have to get the one you want. Good luck on your search.
