Looking for my first Seiko Diver

Hi All, I am looking for my first Seiko Diver, no more than $500 USD. Ideally with a blue dial and rubber strap. I liked the Prospex Special Edition - SRPC91, however, I know there was an issue with alignment on the bezel and I am not a fan of poor QC. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I'd recommend the turtle - a true beautiful WIS tool watch, it does everything my Rolex Submariner does and costs almost nothing. I upgraded mine with strapcode jubilee bracelet and Marine Master 300m clasp. it's a joy to wear.

No such issue with my SRPC91. And the accuracy exceeds Seiko’s claim for that piece. Regardless, at that price point, Seiko has a lot of choices for you. You can’t really go wrong.

I'd look to source a SBDY031 if for no other reason than to have a second hand that does not have a completely nonsensical lume dot on it.

Alternatively, the Padi Turtle is another option if the STO is too loud for you. It comes on a bracelet so you’ll have to pick up a strap for it. I have mine on a zulu diver strap.

I like the STO line-up from Seiko and some of the classic divers. Find a watch that you like even if it is on a bracelet as some come with rubber straps or you can pick one up for less than $50. Some of my watches.

i just picked up the new save the ocean turtle - it is gorgeous and there are no alignment issues at all

I think I am a bit hooked on Seiko and I see a green purchase on the horizon but have to order it from Japan so a little bit concerned about duties on import
