Meteorite GMT white gold vs yellow gold green dial Daytona

Strangest thing today. I received a call from my AD today. Told me about some big pow wow with Rolex and as a result, the can go to their A+ customers, get a deposit and guarantee the delivery of watch; time length to be determined. The white gold Pepsi with the meteorite dual has long since been my grail. I also get serious wood for the yellow gold Daytona with the green face (the John mayor hyped watch). The economy being what it is, I wanna be as fiscallly concerned as anyone else so I told him that right now, I would go one or the other, but not both. I felt bad karma by going for both right now.

Curious from the gang out there. Would you have chosen white gold Pepsi meteorite GMT or yellow gold, green dial Daytona. Very much want to hear from you and not just your choice, but back it up! Why?

Thanks y-all.

First, great dilemma to have. Secondly, meteorite GMT. It’s going to be made in far less numbers as the dial is not readily available and more difficult to produce. Historically meteorite dials are not made in incredibly high quantities and although the green dial Daytona is amazing, out of the two i say go with the more rare and thus more desirable in the future. With that being said, Your winning either way!

Greentona and add a SS BLRO on jubilee.

OR...

Get both.

A very happy dilemma to have!

My vote would be for the Daytona. The GMT has the rare element to it with the meteorite dial, but the legibility is suspect. That combination of the yellow gold and green dial is an absolute winner!

I admit it is a great dilemma, but I would go for the WG GMT, it will be a far lees produced watch than the Daytona. And, not second, that dial, is amazing!

I'm on the list for both, but I would like to get the Green Daytona first. You have taste

This. I'd get the GMT. Plus, I also feel the YG daytona with green dial is a little tacky (sorry to those who own one).

IMO the green Daytona is a watch you can pick up later/2nd hand compared to the meteorite. I don't even necessarily like the meteorite all that much (hard to read), but damn that's a cool watch and hard to find. See how the hype plays out with the green Daytona...it's a cool watch but is definitely inflated beyond where it would otherwise be for the time being.

The Daytona is stunning. I think either will hold it’s value at a similar rate.

I find it so difficult to compare the two besides both being made of gold and having Rolex written on them whilst being marketed a lot.

I prefer white gold to yellow so would be easy for me. One is a chrono. One a GMT, different cases and proportions. Bezel. Anyway I hope it's enjoyed whichever is chosen !!

I'd go GMT, that meteorite is unique. To wear something that came from such a far place on your wrist is very cool!

My name is on the next green Daytona at my AD so I’m a little biased.

both stunning but Daytona for me

Much prefer the size and proportions. The newer GMT's and even subs are just a bit chunkier and squared off compared to what I like.

The GMT although special is more of an everyday watch compared to the striking yellow and green Daytona imao. So depends..

Depends of the meteor. Each is different so I'd like to see it in person before deciding. Just like wood, some dials are excellent, others are meh. It's a lottery and for the price, I'd rather not play unless I know the outcome.

I know. But consider the following :

The idea is of course, that each is different. But what if you end up with one you really don't like ?
