Date Defect?

Anyone know if the line to the right of the 5 is a hair or crack? Would you recommend sending it back for warranty repair? This is a March 2020 Sub so it's still very new. I checked and it's only on the 5, no other dates. Thanks, friends.

Whether it’s a hair or a crack, I wouldn’t want any loose fragments floating around in my watch. I’d have it checked out since it’s under warranty.

Opening a watch that's only a few months old? You've been very unlucky

Maybe an eyelash? I hate to say it but if it bothers you, take it in for inspection. (Opening such a new watch can be problematic.)
Good luck

Date Defect?

Can’t rule out a thin, short scratch from tweezers or another cause.

Too straight for an eyelash.

Too fine for a human hair

A fine anti-static brush hair? Maybe polonium laced kolinsky sable hair...a very rare and costly option to your date disc.

Kolinsky sable is three times the price of gold by weight.

It very well might be a scratch. Kinda disappointing since it's brand spanking new. I just called Dallas RSC and they said it will have to sit and wait 8-10 weeks before being serviced! Due to covid delays. Might just wait for awhile before sending it in. The warranty is good for 5 years. Le sigh.
