"Watch Guy" Destinations in NYC?
I will be visiting NYC in a few weeks.
I plan to go to the PP boutique, which I understand is inside the Tiffany store on 5th Ave. I think there are some other watch brand boutiques on Madison Ave. (e.g. Girard Perregaux at 701 Madison Ave.). And, I will of course visit Tourneau. But, can anyone suggest some other watch guy destinations? Other top brand boutiques? Any interesting dealers of new and used complicated and rare watches? Any suggestions would be appreciated! |

You have already identified the two best that I saw (PP boutique at Tiffany's and Tourneau Time Machine). I also liked Wempe on 5th and if you like vintage there is a place near 30 Rock with a nice selection.

+1 for Wempe on 55th St and 5th Ave for impeccable service and a great selection of Pateks (they are an authorized dealer).

Gosh, there are so many boutiques in the neighborhood.
Panerai, IWC, VC, Breitling, Omega, AP, GP, Bvlgari, Breguet, etc and michael ashton for hi-end vintage patek/rolex . |

Skippy's post lists all of the PP ADs in Manhattan.
Tourneau has a Rolex boutique on Madison and 53rd, literally two buildings away from RSC.

By appointment only BUT
There is a boutique on 61st between Madison and park that has the MOST amazing collection of PP's I have ever seen. They have EVERYTHING from vintage to new. Definitely worth a trip there.

Manhattan
Wempe on 5th ave is great! The store is small but they have tons of stock in the windows outside and in the pillars/walls of the store. Great service too.
Check out some of the watch stores in the Diamond District as well. You will see some rare and limited edition stuff. Of course you need to be careful if you're planning on buying anything there. |
