Not a fan. Too many. Thought Seiko was trying to "clean up" their offerings. Not have 27 versions of the same watch.

So is this essentially the new SKX with all of the regular Seiko sports pieces being branded "Prospex" and pushed upmarket?

Seems pricing for Seiko 5's. I don't like the design anyway, so no loss there.

Horses for courses with so many lines & combinations available & I will be buying one just not sure of which one to choose . It's the new Seiko beater watch , & is aimed at the the mass market, & I'm pretty sure will be very popular .

I see that it is creating quite a stir on the WUS Seiko sub-forum.

I personally like the aesthetics of the new range, although I do believe there are probably too many variations.

I like them

Very few Seikos that I don’t like.

I had this huge Tuna shrouded watch with a kinetic movement that became a gift to my brother. I did not bond there.

They all look like skx007, in 27 different colorways. Better movement , less water
Resistance and no screw-down crown. Not sure this is a meaningful move for seiko though I’m sure amazon and Macy’s will sell plenty at a healthy discount

Hmm, sorry to see Seiko go that route. Don’t like a single one and am usually drawn towards a good (Grand) Seiko

They look fine to me...gotta move on sometime, and you don't see many big watch companies trying to make quality pieces for folks with limited funds.

Sad to see the SKX models being discontinued for these new-born models....

Oh well, nothing lasts forever

They show this cool vintage model, but the new models look nothing like it

I like the new watches for what they are. With a decent discount I might pick up a few for fun. I will probably stay away from any watch that looks like anything I own. A lot of choices.

Fair and balanced assessment IMO

They have upgraded the look for the "5 Sports" line. It is aimed at the younger, entry level market, and for people who want a decent mechanical watch at a lower price. It's not the Prospex line, and doesn't have Prospex features to keep costs down. I think they are great.

Agree, but I think they will need to put the 6R movement in the prospex line to further differentiate them. Seiko’s generally a big mess when it comes to messaging
