$11M Graves Supercomplication Up For Sale
The Graves Supercomplication is an 18-karat gold pocket watch made by Patek Philippe for banker Henry Graves Jr. in 1933 and sold to an undisclosed buyer for USD$11 million in 1999 at Sotheby's. It was a record price for any timepiece at auction.
The piece is now up for sale. A Qatari Sheikh, identified as the owner, is hawking the piece to pay his bills. Poor guy....the things a Sheikh has gotta do to pay the bills. Must be tough. So....who's gonna join me at the auction? http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-1...sotheby-s.html |

Amazing, do wonder how much it will sell for now.
I guess we'll soon find out.
