Amvox-2

Since we have a thread gowing on JLC chronographs, I thought I would steal some other pictures and show you the AMVOX-2. I can't say I particularly like this line (especially the hands) but I guess it's a tribute to the long relationship between JLC and Aston Martin.

Anyway, I've seen some of these models in the metal, and wasn't terribly impressed but this one is special.

You will notice there aren't any pushers on this watch.

This employs a technology that as far as I know, no other watch company uses. The chrono is started/stopped by pushing the crystal of the watch in (at 6 o'clock I think). It's reset by pressing the crystal at 12 o'clock.

Pretty amazing technology, even if I'm not a fan of the hands........

Thanks to Sean Li for the great pictures.

Interesting functions, but I really don't like the style. It almost has a generic look to it. I think that's the JLC I've ever seen that I didn't like

This watch looked better to me in person than in the pics I had seen. Still not gaa-gaa over it, but the finish is outstanding.

Interesting look and very interesting technology. What's the slider on the left side for - is it to keep you from accidentally starting or stopping the chrono?

Interesting look and amazing technology... but I'm not sold on it. I'm guessing Ed is likely correct that the slider is likely a lock so the chrono function doesn't get set off by unwanted pressures on the crystal.

Hey, if you went diving do you think the water pressure would set off the chrono?

What body of water are you planning on diving in where the pressure varies significantly over a space of about 2 inches?

I keep forgetting, you are an artsy type asking an engineering question.......sorry.

Hey, someone has to purposely ask stoopid questions so you engineers can think you're smarter than the rest of us non-engineers.
